What happens next
If it passes and if it doesn't, side by side. Only what the Wadsworth Board of Education has adopted or said on the record, with nothing added for effect.
Outcome one
If it passes
- A 1.00% tax on earned income takes effect on the date set in the certified ballot language. That is a third less than the 1.5% rejected in May.
- It applies to wages, salaries, and self-employment income. Social Security and pension income stay outside the tax base.
- The FY2027 reductions the board already adopted stay in place. The board has not published a plan to reverse them.
- The district gets new revenue from the effective date forward. The amount and the years it runs come from the certified ballot language, and this page will quote it once the committee has it.
Outcome two
If it doesn't pass
- No new revenue.
- The adopted FY2027 recovery plan proceeds: 13% of administration, 7% of certified teachers, 5% of support staff, largely through attrition.
- Any further reductions would be decided by the board in public session. We will list them here only when the board adopts them.
Neither column is a prediction. As the board adopts specific pass and fail actions, this page will quote them and link the minutes. Every claim above has a source on the documents page.
